Cocktails with Claire Sulmers & Miss Diddy Takes Over Chicago
If you consider yourself a fashion guru and you haven’t heard of Claire Sulmers, I would think you’ve been living under a rock somewhere. She is the editor-in-chief of FashionBombDaily.com, the popular online destination for fashionistas to get a taste of runways, editorials, and beauty and style advice! Claire has grown her following to 55.2K followers on Twitter and 982K followers on Instagram the blog has nearly 2 million views a month and I’m one of those viewers! She has now taken her brand nationwide with a cocktail tour that allows her to connect one-on-one with her fans. Claire partnered with The Brand Group Inc CEO Miss Diddy, who is the hottest women promoter in LA, Hennessy’s Key Account Manager and a master marketer. Together these two are unstoppable!
If you were fortunate enough to attend their Cocktails with Claire and Miss Diddy event in Chicago yesterday then you know what magical things can happen when this dynamic duo team up. The affair was held at Food For Thought located in the South Loop of Chicago. When I tell you this event was spectacular — there was more than enough space for vendors to set up their spaces, a bar, breakfast & lunch buffet, high ceilings, huge windows that allowed for natural lighting, a DJ booth and so much more! There was even enough space for a brand new 2017 Toyota Camry XSE to sit in the middle of the venue! Toyota, Hennessy and Cure Violence were major sponsors. Cocktails with Claire and Miss Diddy is definitely Fashion for a Cause! Our main photographer Lawrence Alan was there to capture every moment for you all!
In a room full of fashion/beauty lovers, you know there was plenty of shopping going on! Some of the vendors included Skin Wardrobe, Pear Nova Nail Lacquer, Vanorsby, Dez DeMe House of Styles, Kiwi’s Boutique, Kouture Styles, BellaRose Boutique, and more! The Breaking into Fashion panel featured D Lux Chicago’s Bobby Simmons, radio personality Kendra G, makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff, Miss Diddy, and Claire Sulmers. The panel gave very sound advice to an attentive crowd of budding entrepreneurs. “Stay focused! You will lose friends and some people won’t like you because you won’t be able to do everything they want you to do at all times” – Miss Diddy. Kendra G, who moved from LA to Chicago to pursue her dreams at WGCI reminded us that Chicago is a large market and we can grow our businesses here! We don’t necessarily need to move to LA or New York to make things happen. Kendra’s new WGCI radio co-host Charmaine Johnise and celebrity tattoo artist, Ryan Henry also made an appearance!
